The country shipped an impressive 63,000 tonnes of the juicy fruits last year, dwarfing its nearest competitor, Turkey, which managed only 1,200 tonnes. This overwhelming dominance highlights Morocco's growing prowess in the global berry market.

Morocco has significantly expanded its presence in the European pepper market, solidifying its position as a leading global supplier. According to UN COMTRADE data analyzed by agriculture analytics platform Hortoinfo, Moroccan pepper exports to Germany surged to 100.03 million kilograms in 2024. This represents a remarkable 436.6 percent increase over the past decade, propelling Morocco to the third spot in the market behind Spain (465.26 million kg) and Italy (189.97 million kg).
